1. Structure principle
Using back welding to the welding seam bottom of the box beam is to prevent large current burning through bottom of welding seam, generally used the CO2 gas shielded welding.
And being similar with other structure, the cantilever back welding is composed of moving cart, column, cantilever beam, welding arm, welding seam tracking device, wire feeder, electric control system and the welding power, etc.
Moving cart is composed of one base, four moving wheel, and 2pcs of wheel axles, 2 sets of motors. 2 sets of motors drive four wheel axles through the gear. It composes 4 wheel driving systems, in order to make it stable and reliable operation.
On the base of a double-decker frame, you can put welding power on bottom and wire plate or wire tube on top.
The dimension of the column is large, so it makes the overall rigidity structure bigger. And the operation panel is on the electric box.
The main part of upper beam is square tubes and has light weight rigid good characteristic. The upper beams have guide and rack, so it makes dragging plate and welding beam moving levelly on the beam.
The cantilever box beam welding arm has two groups of two welding seam. It can welds two welding lines simultaneously. On the one hand it can drag on the board in the guide beam in translation, on the one hand, it can also drag on the plate wheel and mobile.
The welding seam tracking devices are installed below the welding arm. It can track welding line automatically to make welding torch and welding line keep proper distance. This device in horizontal direction adopts pneumatic tracking, and in vertical direction it automatically tracks by gravity.
The wire feeder is installed on the welding arm. It connects with wire plate, wire feeder and welding torch by wire tubes.
The electrical control box is install inside of vertical boom, operation panel is on the door of electric control box. The electrical control box is control the moving of cart, elevating of welding arm and power start/stop. The cart moving is frequency control. It can adjust the moving speed according to the welding technology.
Usually we use Tangshan Panasonic CO2 welding machine (YD-600KH), also you can select other brand. For single arc single wire, need two sets welding power for one set cantilever welding machine. If double arc double wire, that need four sets for one set of cantilever welding machine.
